  • Callysta Morris / Owner

Originally from Townsville, Callysta holds an associate degree in Theatre (Musical Theatre) from CQ University's Conservatorium of Music and will complete her bachelor's this year.

Callysta has been performing from the age of 4 and has loved every minute of it, whether she is part of the ensemble or taking her moment in the spotlight. Through her time performing she has been able to portray a few lead characters, of which she has enjoyed every second.

Beginning her stage career early, Callysta played one of Fagons crew in the NQOMT’s 2014 production of 'Oliver'. The following year in 2015 she played July, one of the older orphans from 'Annie'. Callysta also took part in all her school musicals at Kirwan High School, starting in 2014 with 'The Wedding Singer'. 2015, was 'Hairspray', 2016, was 'Wizard of Oz', 2017, was 'Bring it On', and finally finishing school in 2018, with 'Seussical the Musical'. In 2021, Callysta's second year of university, she played the role of Lucia, the beautifully insane ex-wife from 'Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown' musical. Also, in that year she starred as one of the trio girls in 'The Little Shop of Horrors', putting all the sass and energy into her character Ronnette. In 2022, she focused on her behind the scenes skills in the university’s production of 'Xanadu'. Not only did she play the dance goddess, Terpsichore, but she also helped build props and scenery for the show. Similarly in the same year she was given the opportunity to be the choreographer for the university’s production of 'Ladies in Black'. Having no prior existing choreography to go off, Callysta had to create elegant dances for ladies in the retail world as well as organizing mannequins, all while learning her role in the show.

Callysta is striving for a full-time performance career and Lux Noir is the perfect place to chase that dream! Callysta has fit right into the Lux family and loves being her confident silly self on stage with her cast mates.
